Pious Pebbles

The rocks, in a pious effort, began to pile themselves into a monument to honor their Volcanic ruler. More and more rocks came rolling in, until they became a mountain themselves, so large they towered over the Volcano.

Their ruler, in a fit of jealousy, summoned an eruption from its depths. The force of the blast was too great for it to bear. In the wake of its rage, the mountain of followers stood tall and looked down upon the rocky remnants of Volcano.
